Opening Ceremony of South Park’s “Little Bridge” Friday!

Join your neighbors and friends in celebrating art and community at the opening ceremony today at 5PM at the Henderson Bridge (aka South Park’s Little Bridge).
South Park’s “Little Bridge” is a pedestrian walkway that spans SR99 at South Henderson Street. Rather than freight and cars, this bridge carries school children, families, neighbors and friends from one side of South Park to the other.
Location: West end of the South Henderson Bridge, South Park.

Market on Wheels to close/regroup/reopen

I want to let you all know that the South Park Market on Wheels will close for the remainder of the season this year.
The goal is to stop, take a good deep breath, regroup in a couple weeks, and start organizing and restructuring itself. The totally cool thing is, it really does want to have produce and other fabulous vendors to make it worthwhile for you to say, “Hey, I’m going to go shop the Market today!”

South Park read 2,030 books!
September 9th, 2010
Thanks to our neighbors who participated in Summer Reading 2010! South Park read a total of 2,030 books, with the kids reading 1,743 books, teens at 165 books, and adults with 180 books.
Look for more fun at the library this fall, including a visit with Dora the Explorer, computer classes in English and Spanish, Hispanic Heritage programs, and Spanish storytimes. Visit their table at Fiestas Patrias on the 18th!
