My Grand parents lived there for a couple of years while my Grandfather worked at Boeing plant #2 at the end of WWII.

Hello, I am a SP resident of 8 years and have never used any resources other than the listserv. I found out that our neighbors on Sullivan lost their son on Friday. This couple bring their children with them to do yard work for us and several of our neighbors. I don't know if they are aware of any of the community resources other than the listserv. They need $3000 to bury their son by Sept 1st. We've given all we can, but would appreciate any advice or contact info as to how to put on a fundraiser or tap into any available community resources that can help them out. We have already reached out to our friends and family via facebook, but with short time frame and so many others in need, we have yet to receive much response. I should also nention that this family has no other family in the area as they are from Atlanta and moved to SP just over a year ago. Any info you can provided would be much appreciated to us and them. Thank you.

Hi Barbara, Thanks for coming!

Not the shortest, but one of the fastest and simplest ways is to get on 405 west toward Burien, stay with it as it turns into 518. Head North (right) on 509 to South Park Exit (Cloverdale / Myers Way). At the off ramp take a right onto Cloverdale, through 5th, 7th, under the overpass, past 8th to 10th. Take a left on 10th Ave S, take 10th about 6 blocks and !walla!, you are at the Duwamish Waterway Park Located at 10th Ave S and South Elmgrove St, Seattle WA 98108.
