Hello,
My name is Michael Stevenson and I am participating in a permaculture design course that’s being run through Seattle Tilth. As a course project, a group of us are working on designing a system for improved access to food in South Park. We’re trying to link up needs (both of South Park residents and of organizations doing food-related work) with resources available within the community. We wanted to get in touch with the South Park Business Association as a resource of the community to gain a better understanding of the local businesses dealing with food production/distribution and nutrition in the area and to solicit feedback on the food related needs and resources of the community. We’re working on pulling together a group of people / organizations working on this issue for a brief meeting to discuss how helpful connections can be made. Would you be interested in being part of this meeting? Is there anyone else who you think we should be inviting? If you’re not able to be at the meeting, would you have a few minutes over the next week to chat with me about needs and resources that you’re aware of related to this issue?
